Hello, I'm nik - webmaster - and like you, I'm an ordinary webmaster, and for years and years my website was a mere hobby - just something I dabbled in. I always figured I ought to be able to make some money, and I dabbled in affiliate programs here and there; but basically my site just about paid for itself - if I was lucky.

Then the internet world changed. Along came google and other big search engines, and hundreds of millions of new sites and new internet users, and the "game" changed. The search engines became the way that most people found websites, and basically if you ranked well in a search engine you got traffic, and if not, you didn't. (90% of my traffic is from google!)

But I discovered that my website actually ranked really well, and it always has done; but to begin with I was never sure why?

However, I resisted the temptation to spend hundreds of dollars on "SEO reports" and "industry secrets" and stuck to the tried and tested rules of website design. I read up on every rule that the search engines published themselves. I looked at good and bad websites and figured out what made them different. And I tried different things with different websites of my own to find out what worked and what didn't.  I built up all this knowledge and used it to make easypeasy.com a successful website: i.e. one that gets hundreds of thousands of page impressions every month.

What's more, almost everyone I know: friends, family or at work, who starts off building a website comes to me and asks for advice - on how to design it, get it listed, get traffic and make money.

As I continued to develop easypeasy into something that would "give back" to the internet and web community, I figured that I could create a guide that shared these tips for anyone who was trying to build and improve their own website - or perhaps start an online business. Why pay an SEO company hundreds of dollars, month after month, when you can be webmaster of your own destiny?

In a word, yes, these techniques work, which is why SEO companies want them to be secret. How can I put my hand on my heart and say that they work?

Simple, because if it didn't work you wouldn't have found this page and be reading this article would you?
